Developing energy storage projects with Fluence Energy, the world’s foremost provider of energy storage solutions. This included formulating business and sales strategy, establishing industry partnerships, as well as leading the collaboration between customers' technical and commercial teams and Fluence's experts to develop battery system specifications and configurations, connection and operational strategies, leading site investigations and consultations with site staff, and negotiating commercial terms for projects in Australia and New Zealand. I was successful in this role in drawing on my deep technical knowledge of battery energy storage systems, inverter technology, software and systems, grid connections, and long term operation of battery energy storage assets to lead project development, contracting and delivery from concept to operation.

My role was in project development for energy storage projects for utility scale and C&I applications.From opportunity identification, assessment and appraisal, solution design, tendering and bid preparation, and solution development, I project managed the development and engineering of the sales process to deliver world-class projects.I have leveraged Spotless as a leading services provider to deliver market-leading Engineering, Procurement, and Construction services for large scale energy storage projects.I also established partnerships with industry-leading energy storage and technology providers across a range of energy storage chemistries and technology platforms. I also developed the strategic plan for both Demand Management and Energy Storage for Spotless to capitalise on the growing energy storage and energy management markets.

As part of the technical sales team I engaged with a range of customers and solution types to market, develop, and implement demand response solutions.I worked closely with several aspects of the demand response technology stack, including design and control; VPP development; demand charge and tariff arbitrage strategies; wholesale market pricing strategies; portfolio management of energy; and remote-site monitoring and control.I performed on-site audits and desktop studies to inform solution designs. Audits include physical inspections of assets, sourcing of all relevant data, detailed desktop modelling and analysis of usage profiles and power data and development of economic and technical models for analysis and solution design. As part of a small, dynamic team I worked extensively to collaborate with colleagues across departments as well as external stakeholders to assess, design and deliver solutions. As comfortable in the boardroom as on-site, I engaged with a great range of C&I customers, from SMEs to large mine sites to head offices of multi-national firms. Most often I engaged in technical discussions with asset or operations managers regarding strategies which can assist the site to save operational costs.
