In this trainee position in the Statuatory&Tax team at UPM-Kymmene Oyj, I was responsible for the monthly and quarterly closing process for my responsible companies. In addition to enhancing my skills in the reporting process, I was also part of tax-related tasks such as checking monthly VAT positions of all UPM companies as well as import tax checks. In these tasks I used mostly SAP, Excel and HFM, improving my skills even more in these tools. This experience provided me with a full understanding of the closing process of a publicly listed global industrial company.
