I am a Data Scientist/Mathematician who creates intelligent tools (AI) to help and automate business decision making.It is like finding best routes for a cargo fleet, or maximising the payload value of a spacecraft, or predicting dreadfully fluctuating electricity prices during the energy crisis.I translate business cases into mathematical models and solve them with computer programming by employing latest technologies.I am looking forward to solving various problems in a wide range of different fields, especially in marine, space, aviation, defence, logistics, finance, bioinformatics and energy industries.Leading a team would be an intruiging possibility as I want to encourage people and walk alongside them as they meet their full potential.I am a cheerful and encouraging team player, and problems that cannot be solved by mathematics or technology can be solved with my social skills.

Data ScientistVirnex Group Feb 2022 - Aug 2024In an internal project I developed a machine learning model that predicted hourly electricity price of Finland.The prediction model was mainly based on weather data (relevant before energy crises) and data provided by Finnish power grid company Fingrid.I got the idea before the energy crises which eventually turned out to be very timely subject.Tech stack included Python (Numpy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, Pandas, Snowpark), Snowflake database, Azure cloud platform with following services: functions, ML studio, key vaults, virtual networks.In a current client datalake project I am developing a machine learning model leveraging Apache Spark and pyspark (=Spark's python API).I've got my hands dirty while wrestling with datalake's infrastructure including Docker containers, Kubernetes cluster, Terraform, Minio S3 storage. -
