Targeting of growth factors to treat stroke induced ischemia.

Ph.D. thesis: Lipoprotein Lipase, Hypertriglyceridemia and Atherosclerosis. In collaboration with Amsterdam Molecular Therapeutics (AMT). The thesis includes the following topics: 1. LPL(S447X) metabolism in clinical and animal studies. 2. The development of AAV-LPL gene therapy by testing the efficacy in different dyslipidemic mouse model. 3. The detailed characterization of LPL deficient patients before enrolment in a clinical gene therapy trial.
