Frontrunner Project Sustainable Entrepreneurship

In 2010 I started the first Frontrunner Project on sustainable entrepreneurship, in which companies and other organizations work together, integrating sustainability in a structural manner, in order to become future proof. We include not only the internal organization, but also the products and services as well as the value chain of the participants. The project has a systematic approach, from insight (baseline measurement), via action (sustainability agenda), to communication (authentic story). The average number of participants is 10. They receive individual guidance and exchange results in a number of workshops, learning a lot from each other. Since the beginning of 2010 already more than 500 companies participated in one of the more than 50 projects. We focus on small- and medium sized companies (sme's), but also larger companies participate, just like municipalities, health care organizations, schools, housing corporations etc. The Frontrunner Projects are executed in several provinces, in close cooperation with local partners like municipalities, entrepreneurial organizations etc. I also work with regional consultants, so the projects are well embedded in regional networks. Mostly the project is concluded by a public seminar, in which the frontrunners transfer their experiences and enthusiasm to other entrepreneurs. Thus we create a snowball effect.
