As director, I curated and supervised Pakedge’s first development team of software engineers and project assistants to work on projects advancing the company’s products forward by increasing brand awareness and new client acquisition. I analyzed product reviews and customer feedback, determining what is needed to make product improvements. I also made recommendations and suggested opportunities for growth to sales and marketing. While I worked as the Director of Product Development for Pakedge, the company was acquired by Control4. I became instrumental in leading the team responsible for guiding Pakedge’s merger with Control4.Key Accomplishments:•Created Pakedge’s first software development team, building and unifying software engineers from all over of the world.•Worked within budget and project scope, managing and aligning resources to consistently meet deadlines and deliver quality products.•Tapped to lead the team responsible for assisting the acquiring company, Control4, with the absorption of Pakedge.

Working in a small, start-up company offered me the opportunity to learn about all aspects of product development. As the Senior Product Manager, I wore a number of hats, overseeing design, engineering, QA, and release of the company’s principle product lines. I managed the development team, collaborated with sales and marketing, and analyzed feedback to improve the market product line effectively. I also trained and supported technical support and sales teams by holding sessions on the cloud management system, delivering demos, presentations, and attending trade shows.A particularly proud moment occurred in 2013 when my team worked on a project for a customized wireless network controller that was featured as one of the company’s key innovations. As a result, the company won two Technology Integrator EXCiTE Awards.

As a software developer, I saw a need to improve existing code. I identified sections of code where revision would be useful to improve efficiency. Ultimately, I was able to spearhead the effort to clean up the code and improve quality by 25%. My general work duties included design, development, and validation of embedded software solutions. I collaborated heavily with teams to for reviews of architecture, code, and design in an Agile/Waterfall/hybrid environment.
