•Partnered with Borough of Manhattan Community College for high school students to earn college credit•Adapted CUNY’s freshman engineering course, “Intro to Engineering Principles”, for high school students, including Civil Engineering & Robotics Design modules•Designed & led a 3rd module with students using engineering skills for Service Learning with over 40 not-for-profits in the Harlem community

•Created and implemented new robotics curriculum for 9th-12th grade students, focusing on: oMechanics: Used the VEX kit of parts to teach fundamentals of mobile robotics as well as the development of physics applications of forces, torque, speed, and friction. oProgramming: C programming with the VEX control system & sensors, including touch sensors, limit switches, optical shaft encoders, and line following sensors. oProject Management: Integrated various project management tools into student projects including: MBTI Tests, Gantt Charts, Pert Charts, Team Role Assessments•Designed & Coordinated 150 student robotics competitions each semester

•Taught NYS Integrated Algebra course for repeater students•Taught NYS Math A Regents courses for 1 year students and also double-period, 2-year students.•Designed & Taught SAT Math course, resulting in increased scores from 50-200 points

•Managed high school robotics team for FIRST Robotics Competition•Recruited high school students to join the robotics team each year (30 dedicated students).•Recruited mentors from engineering companies, teachers, parents, and engineering students to work with small groups of students.•Coordinated between all the design and administrative committees on the team during an intense 6 week build season of a new 150 pound, multiply-articulated, autonomous & teleoperated robot each year: (Mechanical Drivetrain, Mechanical Manipulator, Electrical, Programming, Fundraising, Strategy, and Admin Committees)•Personally mentored students design work in Mechanics, Electronics, Programming, 3D Modeling, and Image and Website Design.•Oversaw and managed fundraising efforts for the team, including corporate fundraising (letters, phone calls, and DVDs) and personal fundraising (candy sales and bake sales).•Managed and Directed student trips to competitions in New York, New Jersey, and Boston, as well as engineering college visits to MIT, Cooper Union, RPI, NJIT, and Polytech at NYU.
