My research concerns the political economy of global financial regulation with a focus on the state-market relation, or in other words, the interaction between public and private actors. I specialised in banking supervision (the Basel Capital Accords) and sovereign debt restructuring since the 1980s. During my PhD trajectory I have held visiting scholarships at the London School of Economics and Sciences Po Bordeaux.

Working at the Foreign Financial Relations directorate, I prepared briefings on the International Financial Institutions (e.g. IMF, IaDB, EBRD) and on international financial affairs of Latin American countries (e.g. in light of the Argentinean debt crisis of 2001).
