With over a quarter of a century of policing & law enforcement experience (33 years), Jac has lead and commanded policing units from varied and diverse disciplines.Jac has represented the QPS both Nationally and Internationally with agencies including the FBI and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) concerning security planning, provision & security risk mitigation. A QUT Faculty of Law graduate (majoring in organised crime) and Alumni member, Jac also holds a Graduate Certificate in Applied Management from the Australian Institute of Police Management (AIPM) Manly and is published in the areas of conflict resolution as well as anti corruption strategy.Jac was appointed as a Commissioned Officer in October of 2004 and has performed operational supervisory roles as a Regional Duty Officer and Patrol Services Inspector in charge of multiple divisional police stations in metropolitan Brisbane. In 2013 Jac took on the role of establishing and then leading the Police Integrity & Corruption Prevention Unit within the Ethical Standards Command and authored the QPS Integrity Framework (the Service’s most significant Integrity doctrine). Following his work in the Police Integrity space, Jac took on the role of Chief Risk Officer for the QPS, while the organisation changed responses to accommodate COVID-19 related policing challenges.In January 2021, Jac was chosen to undertake the role & responsibilities as the Inspector, Business Engagement for the QPS Mobile Capability Centre, within the Organisational Capability Command, prior to that Centre transitioning over in to the QPS Frontline & Digital Division. Jac is presently overseeing the development and implementation of the Next Generation QLITE devices in direct support of front line policing, bringing advanced functionality directly in to the hands of operational police and detectives.Jac is a recipient of the National Police Service Medal, the National Medal with 1st Clasp and the Queensland Police Service Medal with 30 year clasp and is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).
