As an introduction into rocketry, I chose to work on the design and manufacturing of the nozzle module of the rocket combustion chamber. After the design and manufacturing stage, the nozzle underwent CFD to validate the design specifications and was then tested under real firing conditions.

GLC Industries is a metal fabrication company producing electromagnetically isolated metallic enclosures for sensitive electronics. I handle a variety of jobs at this company ranging from material selection and delivery, precision TIG welding or spot welding, acid etching, and final polish. I work every summer as a part-time metal fabricator.

This program tasked us to a 3-person team to locate, observe, and record the astrophysical location of a near-Earth asteroid and determine its orbit with a research-grade C-14 telescope. The orbit determination was done with original python code using NumPy using classical mechanics, linear algebra, astrometry, and the method of Gauss to calculate the orbital characteristics of the asteroid.
