I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1998 with BDO Stoy Hayward, winning the Lawson prize for the case study along the way.Following qualification, I took a couple of years out of practice to see what it was like in the real world. This enabled me to see what a client needs from their Accountant rather than just what an Accountant thinks their clients need. Having returned to practice I spent many years developing my skills working for large firms with a variety of businesses. These ranged from large corporations to self-employed individuals.In 2010 I decided it was time to break free of the faceless desk-bound world and set up my own business offering accountancy and taxation advice to small businesses and individuals.
