Community Relations Librarian

• Facilitate community engagement with local organizations, non-profits, media outlets, small businesses, and library advocates• Promote library programs and services by giving presentations and library tours• Serve as Library Foundation & Friends Group Liaison; assist with donor cultivation, onboarding new Board members, community presentations, and fundraising events• Provide patron-focused information services and in-depth database and local history research• Create tutorial videos and offer classes teaching library digital resources to patrons• Cultivate library donors and assist with fundraising events and gift stewardship • Purchase and maintain print materials in the Adult Non-Fiction, Local History, Local Author, and Government Docs collections • Produce monthly reports highlighting success stories, statistics, and new library services for Library Foundation & Friends Newsletters and library publications • Collaborate with Social Media/Marketing Team: produce and host library podcast, Cover to Cover; write press releases, City proclamations; coordinate marketing content, social media posts, and print/online ads, and library displays• Consult and provide coaching to clients for grant-funded workforce readiness program; facilitate ESL Conversation Group and adult literacy networking • Identify, create, and facilitate community partnerships for adult & senior library programing (includes Opera Santa Barbara, Ridley-Tree Cancer Center, Office of Arts & Culture, SB Historical Society, Community Arts Music Association of SB)• Manage historical photograph digitization and library archives preservation grants
