I worked for Barnhart Dining Hall at the University of Oregon. During my time, I learned how to work in a fast paced kitchen. I assisted in prepping and cooking different types of foods including, burgers, chicken, omelets, wraps, and more. In addition, I also helped out with cashier and dish-room. There is also a small café connected to the dining hall which serves Starbucks drinks and pastries, where I often helped.

I wrote for the Daily Emerald, an award-winning UO student run newspaper, on a small business beat. In my short time writing for the Emerald, I have had multiple stories published online and in print, which are all available for viewing at Daily Emerald’s website. I was also awarded Third Place for Best Feature Story by the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association for my article "Ducks football legend Retires." Two of my stories were also featured on the cover page of the print newspaper during my time.
