Sensitech was a world leading product maker in temperature monitor and cargo tracking industry as a business unit of Carrier Corp. During the Pandemic it contributed the major portion to the global vaccine supply especially. I worked in sustaining engineering area for Sensitech wireless products, including all sustaining subjects after the initial product design such as engineering changes and process improvements regarding production while bridging engineering and manufacturing efforts together over the world.

Studied FCC, EU regulatory compliance requirement and the test dealt with Microsoft wireless devices like Surface and HoloLens. It was my first American culture oriented work place and it added values to me to learn new cultures and the work environment likely being back at school while getting more handy, being refreshed and working surrounded with all talented and nice natured people. Left for a little more leadership and responsibility.

I joined Samsung again, which has been the hometown in my soul. I worked as a technical account representing Samsung hardware R&D for US market wireless device development. I made technical directions for other teams in the US region that demand immediate decisions regarding urgent hardware issues and provided guidance and action items to global cross functional teams for topics towards successful mobile operators' certification. I established startup hardware SME and engineering teams for network readiness, test debugging and diagnosis with hardware samples on development stage to cover up engineering vacancy in local Bellevue area where AT&T and T-Mobile labs are located near. Teams I hired and managed were successful. My role here was not limited so I dealt with lots of things in device performance and managed many programs since the time of Galaxy S3 and Note2 series for all technical deliverable, regulations, compliance, specifications, reliability, Spirent testing and performance measurement for RF, acoustic/digital features for main components and other peripheral subsystems like sensors, cameras, displays and even a few connected car and IOTs. Left for an experience in American culture rather than Korean.

This company was working for service manufacturing on all AT&T & T-Mobile GSM/WCDMA/LTE devices returning in US market on behalf of Samsung and this huge factory was producing more than 2 millions of repaired devices annually. After moving into the US, I joined this company as they sponsored my work visa. Fortunately I could utilize my skills by educating test and repair technicians and developing lots of new testing methods and process definition. I also worked for defect analysis, process improvement and technical issues. I could learn many various things on manufacturing here such as product/process quality control, root cause analysis, mass production, DFM, NPI, Early Warning Process. I was promoted from manufacturing engineer to manager in 2009 and hired and brought up team members to take care of the whole factory's engineering support and finally left this company for the better life.

At the entry of professional world after the master degree of computer science, I was able to reselect the major role to RF hardware area as I preferred handy crafting activity rather than coding on a chair. I designed PCB and RF hardware in CDMA/WCDMA mobile phones and shipped almost 20 devices for Korea domestic market while being responsible from prototypes to mass production in Samsung's very fast-pacing work environment. I dealt with specifications, validation and implementation for RF components such as PAMs, filters, transceivers/receivers, PMICs and mainly worked for schematics, PCB layout and radiation optimization. At the last 2 years, I led a small R&D project team while collaborating with cross-functional teams like mechanical, software, QA, product planning and manufacturing teams and also with 3rd parties. I was promoted from engineer to Sr. engineer in 2005 and resigned to seek for the better opportunity to live and work in the larger world, the US.
