• Responsible for operational management of Alma Market Delicatessen chain in Poland: 2 700 store employees and managers on several levels, 49 stores, ~250 mln EUR yearly turnover (2015). Reporting directly to the President of the Board.• Responsible for Alma24.pl internet store.• Assessing and confirming new store locations.

I was responsible for a new business project within Jeronimo Martins i.e. Kropka Relaks Coffee shops. I managed 7 Cafes working on introducing new assortment (>100 products introduced and/or tested), marketing and operations.

I was responsible for creating (together with ICP company) and introducing in all Biedronka stores the first retailer based mobile payment system in Poland (payments in traditional retail using mobile phone). The system was introduced in the whole chain on 21.10.2013 and is running in 2400 stores. After 3 months we had 150 000 mobile transactions wich is the best result on the market. On 16 of January Jeronimo Martins recieved Mobile Trends Award for introducing Mobile Payments (http://2014.mobiletrends.pl/mobiletrendsawards). On 30 of January the project was rewarded as the Project of the Year 2013 in Biedronka.

Supervising 6 Area Managers and management of 36 Biedronka stores (c. 600 employees). Main responsibilities included:- delivering the highest standards of performance of subordinate shops;- maximizing sales especially sales of perishable products;- optimizing costs (most importantly stock losses, stock rotation and personal costs);- cooperating with other departments (HR, Finance, Logistics) in order to ensure the best service for subordinate shops;- managing the Bakery category - developing and introducing new products and improving existing products in cooperation with the supplier, price negotiations;- advising on new store locations;- opening new stores (I opened 15 new and 7 remodelled Biedronka stores in my career).

Since March 2008 I have been managing 4 - 8 supermarkets and about 60-120 employees (varies because of new openings and changes in the company structure). Main duties on my position include: - taking actions aiming at enhancing sales and decreasing costs, - recruiting and employing new employees, - promoting outstanding lower staff to managerial positions, - monitoring and enforcing coherence with company's internal standards, procedures and regulations as well as state law.I am responsible for increasing revenue, especially sales of perishable products (fruits and vegetables, bakery, meat), and cost management (most important are personal costs and stock losses as well as stock rotation).

8 month Management Traineeship giving comprehensive knowlege about the functioning and activities of a large retail chain. 5 weeks in the Headquarters in Warsaw (HR, Financial, Legal, Quality Control, Expansion, Sales and Marketing Departments); 5 weeks in the Regional Headquarters (Distribution Center, Purchasing, Espansion, Technical, HR, Financial Departments); 5 months in Operations Dept incl. 2.5 months at the position of Store Manager; 2 weeks in Portugal - learning about Jeronimo Martins activities in Portugal.

I worked in the Tax Department, Transfer Pricing Team. Main duties included preparation of Transfer Pricing Documentation and Benchmarking Analyses.

Summer internship in the office of Rep. Shelley Berkley in the U.S. House of Representatives. Main activities included - attending to House sessions and committee hearings; preparing letters to constituents; attending meetings in think tanks and civic organisations (i.e. The Heritage Foundation, Americans for Informed Democracy, Americans for Tax Reform and others), performing administrative tasks.Most of all the internship was an excellent opportunity to observe the American political and legislative system from the inside and understand it better.
