A writer, editor, critic, interviewer, and podcast host, Jace Lacob's work has appeared in Newsweek, The Daily Beast, BBC.com, The Los Angeles Times, Entertainment Weekly, PBS, BuzzFeed, Film.com, TVWeek, and elsewhere. He has had both a television character and a Twitter hashtag named after him.Jace is the co-creator and host of MASTERPIECE Studio, the Signal- and Webby Award-winning official companion podcast to MASTERPIECE on PBS, which has been downloaded more than 22 million times since its launch. He is also the host of the Making MASTERPIECE audio documentary, which launched in early 2021 and was named a 2022 Webby Award Honoree for Podcast Limited Series, Entertainment.He was previously the entertainment editorial director of BuzzFeed, the deputy west coast bureau chief for The Daily Beast/Newsweek, and The Daily Beast’s television critic. Before embarking on a career in journalism, Jace worked in the television industry, both on the domestic and international sides — in development, programming, and acquisitions.On the screenwriting side, his film and television scripts have now won or placed in 25 screenwriting competitions, including the Austin Film Festival.He is also the founder of Televisionary, an award-winning television website which focused on U.S. and U.K. television programming, news, reviews, and interviews.Jace holds a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Cornell University College of Arts and Sciences and a Master's degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from New York University.
