Transforming healthcare professionals through the application of improvement science is my passion. Throughout my career, I have worked diligently to use data analytics and performance improvement methods to empower staff and create a sustainable, value-driven culture. I take care to describe how analytics can aid in identifying critical improvement opportunities while addressing common pitfalls experienced in our data-rich industry. To achieve these opportunities, I translate the tools and techniques of improvement science into the language of healthcare and highlight the parallels of various methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) and patient care delivery. In doing so, I aim to give individuals at all levels the confidence to use data proactively and participate in structured, iterative improvements that transform the organization in the process. Healthcare remains a fundamentally human system, and I firmly believe in delivering training, coaching, and leadership with the same compassion and empathy that we would expect to be given to our patients.
