I worked on phonebanking to legislators for H.1947/S.1235, or the Fair Workweek Bill. I also worked with JwJ in their partnership with the Matahari Women Workers Center and working to form BIPOC Worker Councils. Attending weekly events at partner organizations was also part of my role, greater understanding the role of a network of non-profits and community organizations in legislative campaigns.

I researched fundraising prospects and CRM systems for Deeper Learning program and COVID-19 aid. I also supervised team of 4 interns to complete monthly writing and design projects such as websites, newsletters, video scripts, appeal letters, and presentations to the Commissioner. This was an amazing opportunity to greater understand the inner workings of the public education system and how to influence positive change within it.
