I would like to introduce myself. Jaci Jeter. I am generation number four. I am the resident “google girl” who stays connected to the latest trends, what the foodies are drawn to and new techniques for the more glamorous creations. My training began when I was old enough to hold a wooden spoon. I have come a long way from that little girl with the tiny apron. I now have a culinary degree, spent a year in Italy which allowed me to learn the art of Italian baking, and spent 3 years in the south which allowed me to experience “soul” foods. I am now co-owner of Sweet Indulgence Dessert Catering. We are a new company to the Syracuse area, but have been in business for several years in Watertown. I would like to introduce myself. Jari Mallette. I am generation number three. I am the resident accounting/business girl. I have a degree in accounting, which certainly comes in handy as an entrepreneur; but baking has always been my passion. I started professionally selling wedding cakes at the age of 14, which is why generation #4 calls me the “Old School” decorator. As the recipes from generations #1 and #2 came in, I began tweaking them and making them my own, trying not to alter the authenticity of the original recipe. While I was not professionally trained, you cannot discount the experience and knowledge gained by learning under generations of bakers. I have spent many years practicing and perfecting my personal techniques, waiting for the time when Jaci would come home so that we could start our business together. This is how Sweet Indulgence Dessert Catering was born!!

With four generations of recipes in our repertoire, we have a wide variety of decadent desserts to choose from. From candies, cookies and pies to 3-D character cakes to gorgeously crafted wedding cakes. While we follow the latest trends, our biggest requests are the comfort desserts that we have all grown up with. We take the American classics, such as great grandmother’s apple pie, and add our own twist to it for a more modern taste and look.
