The Director of Clinical Services role involves being the Registered Manager and Controlled Drugs Accountable Officer for the Care Quality Commission, responsible for all client care and Site Management which includes 12 acres of woodland which is an area of European Special Scientific Interest.Jospice is a unique nurse led hospice service, where I am the senior clinician. During my time in this post I have transformed the nurses and care assistant roles by promoting professional development, creating supportive and highly skilled workforces who are able to empower the individuals in our care and their families. Jospice was the first hospice in the country to be awarded Beacon Status for Hospice Care the highest accolade from The Gold Standards Framework For End of Life Care.As the Deputy CEO role of this charitable organisation my role involves supporting health projects in Honduras, Guatemala and Ecuador caring for HIV+ and AIDS individuals in hostile environments. In Guatemala this also includes an orphanage caring for over 80 HIV+ children. As part of this role I co-ordinated the transfer of a health clinic in Peru following detailed consultation from British management to being able to be successfully run by the local population.
