My twenty year medical services career has embraced public and private health care in Victoria, Queensland and the United Kingdom. I have worked in human resources, project management and administrative roles in an internationally eminent cancer research and treatment hospital, three of Australia’s largest community hospitals, two large private hospitals, in the leadership development area of the United Kingdom’s national health service, and in a single doctor medical practice. I see my HR Business Partner role as thought leadership, problem solving, influencing, team building and giving practical application to the organisation's vision and values.I also focus on appreciating the technologies, culture, language and operations of the organisation. I seek to gain a deep understanding of, and empathy with, the people providing the medical and ancillary services. The resultant insight, when combined with my team focused way of interacting, has resulted in me being widely respected, well liked, influential and very effective.I hold formal business and human resources qualifications and have completed a number of specialised short courses including Certificate iv in training and assessment, occupational health and safety, medical terminology, various emergency management courses and first aid.
