A recent science graduate with majors in both chemistry and biochemistry, I have completed biochemistry honours year (2019) in a structural biology lab (Heras, LIMS). Interests include x-ray crystallography and enzyme kinetics as well as drug development and combating antibiotic resistance by targetingvirulence factors. I have undertaken two internships, in the Kemp lab at St Vincent's Institute of Medical Research (SVI) working on protein crystallography, protein chemistry and kinetics; and in the Heras lab at La Trobe Institute for Molecular Science (LIMS) working on structural biology and protein crystallography. These placements have enabled me to develop not only biochemistry related experience, but also a valuable and transferrable skill set, useful in any sector. ​​​​​​​I hope to establish a career that challenges and motivates me, whether that be in a research or analytical role.
