Cigna HEALTHCARE, Bloomfield, CT 8/01 – 5/05: Revenue Management - Billing/Account Services Sr. Associate and Automation CDR/Access Engineer - Employer Services Providing billing/financial related support to new/migrated and/or existing accounts. Research problems and negotiating w/ internal/external customers, banks, TPA’s, and/or partners to resolve highly complex issues. Respond to customers' inquiries in a timely manner. Analyze, manage, reconcile, process, and/or balance customer’s accounts. Code and load data into CARBS (Cigna Accounts Receivables Billing System) and Rate Capture systems. Bill and/or collect outstanding/delinquent payments or issue payments. Negotiating w/ matrix partners to manage delinquent accounts, make contact w/ customers and follow delinquency process. Applying, and managing suspense. Support financial reserve setting process. Manage bill generation exception process. Audit accounts for compliance w/ legislation. Create, analyze and respond to standard and/or non-standard reports. Research, resolve and identifying trends and developing and implementing methods to improve results. Acting as Subject Matter Expert for technical billing issues. Participating in continuous quality improvements within our team. Coaching new staff and acting as a resource to others.Automation CDR/Access Engineer - Employer Services – Focusing on technical-related billing functions, including creating and maintaining the Automated Reconciliation Access Databases, and the Customer Driven Remittance (CDR) process. The client/TPA sends a monthly CDR file to CIGNA through the agreed upon transmission process. The file is then copied to a production environment, then entered into the CDR file tracking system. The reformatting process, specifically designed for the client/TPA file, is automatically triggered to perform the necessary data translation and restructuring to enable the CDR process and limit potential disjoints.
