Hello,My name is Jack Amodei and I am a senior at Northern Arizona University studying Parks and Recreation Management. My love for outdoor activities became my main focus during my freshman year. I had always loved hiking and being outside, but Flagstaff being the outdoor playground that it is made me realize that outdoor recreation would play a much larger role in my life than I once thought.My first backpacking trip was the catalyst for my decision to make it my career although. Some friends and I did a two day one night trip through the West Fork canyon, starting up by Woody Mountain road and ending in the West Fork hiking area in Sedona. It was just a magical experience and I realized I want to share it with as many people as possible.Now that I am nearing the end of my college career, my actual career is getting started. I am working for a great company called Road Scholar right now, and they have given me the amazing opportunity to hop right into the field and lead some awesome trips. The joy I get out of sharing my love for the outdoors makes me certain I am on the right path. This experience gives me excitement for the future because I know it is only the beginning.
