As a senior at Ohio University, I’m pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a minor in Retail and Fashion Merchandising. With my anticipated graduation in December 2024, I have built a diverse skill set through hands-on experiences in the retail and fashion industry.I recently completed a 10-week Men’s Buying Internship at Urban Outfitters, where I focused on men’s woven tops and sweaters. I gained invaluable insight into the design and production process, collaborated on branded merchandise, and supported strategic hand-offs between departments to streamline operations. This experience enhanced my ability to analyze sales trends, communicate effectively with vendors, and contribute to cross-functional teams.Currently, I work as a Retail Sales Associate at Urban Outfitters, where I consistently deliver high-quality customer service while managing cash transactions and driving sales. Prior to this, I led as a Writing Tutor at Ohio University’s Academic Achievement Center, mentoring students across various stages of their writing process and leading workshops that improved student performance.I’m passionate about combining my journalism background with my retail expertise to pursue a dynamic career in fashion communications, merchandising, or buying. With strengths in project management, team collaboration, and strategic problem-solving, I am eager to bring my skills and enthusiasm to the next opportunity.
