Provide daily management and leadership to the global cash applications group, ensuring that staff is adhering to departmental procedures (17,000 active accounts globally, 9 direct reports)Manage daily cash application of payments made to several corporate lockboxes and credit card providersResponsibility for the creation and presentation of credit notes, the pay-out of the partner rebate and commission claims by bank transfer and cheques and customer refunds (weekly payment run) Continually evaluate the effectiveness of operational procedures and controls to maximise departmental productivity and minimise errors by staff Responsible for ensuring the cash applications team is adhering to internal and compliance controls Forecasts, monitors and tracks cash flow on a daily, weekly and monthly basis Prepares cash flow reports, and identifies and evaluates variancesAssists with ad hoc project assignments and financial reporting requirementsCollaborates closely with the global credit & collections manager to address and resolve payment delays in a timely manner
