As a Learning Support Assistant it is my role to provide support for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. It is vital to ensure that the pupils can integrate as fully as possible in the activities generally undertaken by the others in the class and make progress. Teaching on a 1:1 basis and as a group by focusing on social needs is important to succeed in my role in learning support.

As a Team Member of Hitachi Rail I was required to adhere to the strict health and safety standards at all times, raising any issues with a specialist or section leader and challenging any behaviour that jeopardises the company ethos. In my initial role producing trains for the intercity express programme (IEP) I was required to work effectively as part of a team to many SOP’s such as carpet fitting, wiring for cameras, lighting or seats and cubicle installations. To achieve the highest quality standards SOP’s are strictly followed and include zero tolerances.

In my role at Gas Care Ltd. my duties included assessing and identifying whether the environment in which I am working is safe before carrying out meter exchanges, fixes or removals to a high standard. I have extensive knowledge of gas appliances and unsafe situations that may occur whilst being able to rectify the problem ensuring safety at all times. In the role it is essential to deliver great customer service. I have excellent communication skills which I convey to a wide range of people from different backgrounds. It is vital to deliver these qualities to ensure the company is well represented and that customer is comfortable with my presence and the service provided.
