I class myself as a specialist within the Alternative Education sector. To begin, I have worked within alternative provisions from the age of 17 where I completed my BA Hons degree in Education. After working in two alternative provisions, I moved to a SEMH independent school to gain QTS teaching 14-16 Mathematics. Because of the passion I have within the sector, I have completed my NPQSL delivering a project to improve the qualitative and quantitative data that we collect for EHCP students in aim to provide a holistic approach to a tailored nurturing education. I have completed my Masters degree in Education Leadership and Management focusing my dissertation on the effectiveness of AP on secondary students that have been excluded from mainstream education. I have ambitions to develop the Alternative Provision sector with a key emphasis on advocating for the effectiveness of an holistic provision for those where mainstream schooling is not effective.
