I am a first year Building Construction student at Virginia Tech with an interest in both commercial and residential construction, safety, and project efficiency. I am seeking a summer internship to apply my education in construction to the industry and learn applicable skills I can use in the future. The past two summers, I worked for a hardscaping company in which I had to problem solve, work in a team environment, and satisfy the customers' needs whether we were working on a patio or a support wall. This experience sparked my interest in the industry, and I plan to continue learning in the future at a larger scale of construction.

  As a crew member, I constructed patios, support walls, and sidewalks to the exact specifics of a given customer. My impact was most felt by problem solving interruptions to our workflow on the spot and working in harmony with other crew members. Ultimately, I helped increase speed of production leading to 5 extensive projects being completed this past summer.
