My role as a Tutor Mentor has brought me joy in seeing individuals grow. My responsibilities include not only helping the students in their difficult school work but also to guide them to become more independent individuals. Other duties include;- Organize a tutoring environment to promote productivity and learning.- Provide feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in students.- Collaborate with students, parents, teachers, school administrators, or counselors to determine student needs, develop tutoring plans, or assess student progress.- Maintain records of students' assessment results, progress, feedback, or school performance, ensuring confidentiality of all records.- Identify, develop, or implement intervention strategies, tutoring plans, or individualized education plans for students.

I was assigned with a veterinary biomedical research project which gave me experience to perform mechanical testing on ex-vivo bovine claws and SR-micro-CT imaging. I elaborated my research findings through presentations and research competitions at the Alberta Biomedical Engineering Conference in Banff and Undergraduate Student Research Award Meeting at the University of Saskatchewan.
