I have a Bachelor's of James Madison University where I majored in Media Arts and Design, concentrating in Digital Video and Cinema and Minoring in Film.While I have been shooting and editing video for many years my professional experience started in 2016 working as an intern for JMU's Sports Communication department shooting and editing content for JMU sporting events. In addition to shooting and editing hundreds of hours of footage, I worked as a co-replay board operator during home football games, quickly sorting clips and editing together multiple highlight reels to be shown on the jumbotron throughout the game. During this Internship, I had the pleasure of working alongside organizations such as ESPN2, Lacrosse Sports Network as well as serving as the main editor for a five-minute interview feature that premiered on the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network.Starting in early 2018 I have been working freelance videography/editing gigs regularly for a wide variety of organizations and individuals. In the summer of 2019, I started an Internship at Render Perfect Productions as well as provided additional work with To Tony Productions during my available free time. These internships both gave me exponential amounts of experience in working with professional organizations as well as with high-quality production equipment.Since then I have worked dozens of freelance gigs as an editor and/or videographer. Creating custom social media packages, motion graphics, and captions for each project. Working freelance provides a unique style that is required on each new gig, as they vary from music videos to cooking segments on morning TV. Working these various internships and freelance jobs I have learned a great deal about the technical, creative, and business sides of professional videography/editing and am fully prepared for long-term employment. I also worked my way from field grip to replay board operator during JMU home football games, categorizing and quickly editing together highlights during the game to be played at halftime and the end of the game during 2018 season, one game was worked collaboratively with ESPN2.
