As a team lead, alongside Matt Gentleman, I am responsible for representing the team in front of sponsors, organizations and the faculty of engineering as well as for planning and directing all team operations, and for recruiting and maintaining membership.

I am very excited to do my part in the organization of the Canadian Engineering Competition, an event which promises growth, learning and rich competitive experience for all in attendance. As the director of the debate competition, I will among other things: devise a list of motions for our debate rounds, direct and oversee the briefing of participating teams and judges, design the structure of the competition bracket itself, and uphold strict and equitable competition standards as set out by the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students.

This year I am pleased to serve as the secretary for Dalhousie's Diploma of Engineering Society. As the group advocates on behalf of the diploma class at Dal, and provide services for that cohort, I will do my best to facilitate that work with organization, straightforward and effective communication, and an accurate account of any and all actions taken by the society's executive team, and general membership.

I traveled to several conferences in the second semester of my first year of engineering at Dalhousie, on behalf of the Diploma of Engineering Society, and Dal Eng as a whole. I attended the Canadian Engineering Leadership Conference in Saint Johns, NL, the Atlantic Engineering Competition in Fredericton, NB, and the Canadian Engineering Competition in Calgary, AB. These events required participants to hold themselves to a high professional standard while attending sessions, committee meetings, as well as during the competitions. Through these experiences, I learned tremendously the values of leadership and co-operation. These also allowed me to become familiar with the conference environment in the context of engineering in Canada, and so I feel very prepared to contribute to CEC here at Dalhousie in the winter of 2025.

I coach junior and senior high school students in competitive debate in person, and virtually, all across the country. These students come from a wide variety of backgrounds, and levels of exposure to debate. Coaching is a pleasure, and allows me to pass on lessons learned and allow others to learn from my own past mistakes.

During my time at Halifax water, I was responsible for the interior and exterior maintenance of Halifax Water's Upper Water St. Wastewater treatment plant. I shared responsibility for the upkeep of vegetation surrounding the building, the replenishment of certain facility supplies, the cleanliness of the plant's interior, and for the checking of safety equipment which allows the secure operation of the on site water infrastructure.

I cared for two disabled teenaged boys for up to 10 hour shifts. I was responsible for all of their needs during the day, and for their general safety.

I managed the landscaping needs of up to 6 clients at a time, which included a local business. I provided all manner of lawn and garden care services to these clients during this period, with whom I coordinated meeting times, payment arrangements, and logistical arrangements to facilitate my services. I also worked for the business "Elijah Turf Building" for two years.

During this short period, I marketed and grew a small 3D printing business, just operating out of my own basement. I would connect with clients, and assess their needs, provide quotes, and navigate possible solutions for free. I would then charge them for my design and 3D printing services by the hour, and by the amount of material required for the part they needed. I also 3D print as a hobby, so this venture funded some of that personal spend.

I performed and managed data entry for donations made by parishioners at St. Andre Bessette Parish, for the purposes of tax receipt distribution.
