I love to use my skill in writing for just about anything, from a persuasive argument, to an informative article, and especially an entertaining piece of fiction. The task of stringing together the right wording to convey a message or produce an emotion just as intended is not unlike a painter combining the correct hue of paint with the correct brushhead and stroke. As long as I am able to put a personal touch into it and make it into an enjoyable read, I love to do it. I have written dozens of short stories and essays for various writing courses throughout my school career and am currently working on a fantasy novel as a pet project. My most common positive feedback for my work is that I have a superb ability in description, be it a location, a meal, or a particular object, real or imagined by myself. Another frequent comment on the positive side is the voice with which I write. I am a firm believer in the concept that the reader will be bored reading the piece if the author was bored writing it. I do my best to keep myself engaged in creating the piece, thus keeping the reader engaged in reading it, usually with touches of satire and dry humor when a lighter tone would both be effective and appropriate.
