About Jack Burke

Passionate about real estate. It's a phrase that has been used through the years, but it is very appropriate for many of us that work in the industry.I have worked in the real estate industry for the past 26 years, filling various roles along the way. I started as a property management accountant, moved on to portfolio level accountant, assistant controller, & controller. 10 years ago, I switched roles and moved into the asset management side of the business, specifically working on retail properties. As one can imagine, retail properties are one of the more complex property types to manage. This is a welcome challenge for me as you are constantly learning new lessons.Whether it is working on lease restructures due to a pandemic, negotiating a lease with a difficult retail operator, or just handling fire drills (or sometimes, real fires!), I believe I have the skills and experience to take on any task.While my focus is to continue working in retail asset management, I am open on working on other real estate product types as well.
