I was offered an opportunity to complete an electrical apprenticeship within the JTL scheme working for an electrical contracting company. I qualified following my 4 year apprenticeship and became a self-employed electrical contractor. I started JEC Electrical Ltd in October of 2018 and initially conducted general domestic rewires and electrical installs. I gained my 2391-52 testing and inspection qualification which allowed me to undertake testing and certification and subsequently, I became an NICEIC approved contractor. With so much new construction happening, I moved into the 'new build' sector and expanded my team to four additional members of staff. Our recent projects include apartment blocks of 16, 8 and 6 flats and newly built commercial cafes and commercial cat a fit-outs. My goal for JEC Electrical Ltd is to carry on expanding the team, to supply and support the local community and to continue to provide the highest quality of service to our customers.
