After two years of traditional private equity experience focused on the infrastructure asset class, I was asked to help PSP Investments pitch their qualifications and ability to manage the investment mandate of the Canada Growth Fund on behalf of the Canadian Government. After successfully obtaining the mandate, I was asked to transition to the newly formed subsidiary of PSP. Since this time, I have helped PSP develop this newly formed entity from scratch including developing an investment framework and unique impact framework, creating a pipeline of targeted investments that met our financial and impact goals through >100 business development meetings, and executing on novel transactions such as CGFIM's deal with Entropy Technologies. Joining CGFIM has given me a valuable opportunity to gain entrepreneurial experience in starting a new entity, advance my business development acumen and negotiation skills, expand the creativity of my investor mindset routed in traditional private equity, and increase the volume and scope of transactions I am able to add to my professional experience.Canada Growth Fund Investment Management Inc.
