Weldon Cantrell is my father. He is retired from the OHP and as Sheriff of Pottawatomie County. He became a LEO when I was 4 years old, so I was pretty much raised as a cop. I began my career at the age of 20 with the Creek County Sheriff's department and I have remained in either public or private Law Enforcement most of my life. I am now the Director of Security at St. Gregory's University in Shawnee, Oklahoma and have been here since 2011. In my position at the university I find myself wearing several hats and I have learned to multitask very well. I supervise a department of 16 and am responsible for the department budget. I also keep the department current on training and legal guidelines. I write policy as well as procedures and continually am trying to grow the department professionally. We have made a lot of progress in this endeavor and continue to work on raising that bar.
