He had the knowledge and intelligence necessary to predict the way in which player teams reacted and he intentionally used that to expand on the game’s possibilities and pushed UDK beyond its capabilities in doing that. At the end of the day, he had the creative power to design an ultimately fun gaming experience for players of all ranges and skills, while keeping a very tight focus on the ideas he wanted to push forward and knowing how to get that from the other artists trying to achieve a similar goal.
