In April 2016 I retired from Greater Manchester Police, I have experience in various Policing roles, and I am a skilled investigator with a history of achievement with GMP. I have been the officer in charge (OIC) in many serious cases, dealing with investigations from the initial stages through to giving evidence in Crown Court, resulting in successful prosecutions. I am fully conversant and authorised to use numerous GMP systems, ISIS case, KIM, (property) OPUS, GMPIC’S, Holmes.I am a qualified PIP 2 investigative interviewer, (Serious & Complex) and was also one of GMP’S Family Liaison, (FLO)Between 2004/2005 I was seconded as a police trainer to the Jordanian International Police Training Centre in Amman Jordan, training IRAQI police students, in Crime, General Policing Duties, Human Rights and counter terrorism. Upon returning to GMP I had the responsibility as one of the twelve FLO coordinators, and worked as the FLO/FLC on several high profile case, both locally and internationally, ie Anuj Bidve, ( Indian student shot in Salford 2012) , Nicola Hughes & Fiona Bone, police officers killed in 2012 & the Lufthansa German Wings Crash in France. I was also responsible for the FLO’s who were engaged in visiting the families for the Harold Shipman case, between 2014-2016 I returned to front line policing as part of the Public Protection Unit at Central park Manchester, dealing with vulnerable adults, Child Sexual Exploitation and Modern Slavery/Prostitution & People Trafficking. In 2017 I was attached as part of a team from the UK, working in the major Incident Team on the Island of Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean, successfully identifying a number of offenders from Haiti. After returning to GMP I was engaged as a civilian investigator for GMP, engaged investiagting the Fraud at a Forensic Science Company.In November 2019 I returned to the Turks & Caicos Islands as part of a local team dealing with an International People Trafficker which evolved into an ongoing world wide multi agency enquiry involving several countries.This enquiry was also a success with the offender pleaded guilty and later being extradited to the USA.I have recently returned from the Turks & Caicos Islands after being part of the Serious Crime Team who have significantly reduced the Murder rate figures from the previous year.
