-Income reporting across Barclays International-Supporting and delivering decks for CIB businesses during Quarter End results preparation and announcement-Translate internal views of income to externally reported segments every month.-Support the Investment bank forecasting process monthly-Supported planning, stress testing and performance reporting of cost for various businesses in Corporate bank-Provided analytics regarding cost and FTE to forecast in-year outlooks to MTP and performance reporting to measure against targets-Used cost information to support strategic business decisions

-I worked with the Capital Partners who focused on sourcing and evaluating PE investment opportunities.-Sat in on initial pitch meetings where founders and CEOs where seeking initial investment capital as well as 2nd and 3rd capital raises.-I had direct involvement in strategic assessments of potential PE investments, specifically in areas such as: marketing strategy, product and personnel quality and market analysis .

-I spent time with various teams within the CIB which gave both a detailed insight into each team as well as an understand of how they interconnect. Specific areas included: Leveraged Finance, Distressed Assets, High Yield Capital Markets, Infrastructure and Project Finance.

-Gained an understanding of investing in funds, stocks and bonds while in the Investment Management Team.-While working with the Capital Partners, I spent time looking at investment proposals in a variety of sectors. This provided an chance to analyse and identify areas of value and growth within a comapny looking to raise capital.

-I shadowed the Regional Head of Global Risk, getting a first hand experience of effective people management skills.-Experienced senior management strategy meetings, providing an overview of a leadership role within a large financial institution which instilled the importance of communication across teams and departments within a complex organisational structure.

-I gained an understanding of Corporate Finance, specifically M&A. In particular, working on an IM for a medium sized Health Care company preparing for sale. I gained invaluable insights into company value drivers and how to go about making an accurate valuation.
