I am currently a Senior at Oklahoma State University pursuing a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering Technology. I have many years of experience with Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor, Revvit, and other CAD Modeling programs. Recently, I have learned more advanced programs such as StarCCM+ (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and Ansys. I have two internship experiences so far in college. My first one was at Enovation Controls, where I worked as a Technical Sales Engineering Intern. This opportunity allowed me to see what the industry was like and work with other likeminded engineers to conquer complexity and succeed. My most recent one was at Greenheck Fan, where I worked as a manufacturing engineer in kitchen ventilation systems. This allowed me to get hands on experience with real industry engineering, and train my brain to look for inefficiency, safety concerns, and dips in quality. I also worked as a research associate developing an automated pressure sensing and actuating seat cushion for automated vehicles. Research has been a great avenue for me to see how engineering works when you have no clear direction. You must answer questions that you ask, and be able to prove that you are also correct. It is very educational, and I am thankful to be working under Dr. Yang on such a project. At 17 years old, I worked at Journeys as a manager for a year and half, and this required me to communicate and collaborate with my associates to achieve the best workplace efficiency. I have also worked in environments such as restaurants where quick reaction time and focused attention are mandatory for success.In my schooling and work experience, I have always sought to gain new skills, challenge myself in new ways, and make sure that others around me are doing the same. I like to lead others, and I think the most important part of being a successful leader is to have a strong team.
