I have a working knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and a number of development tools and languages. These include Java, C#, Python, and MATLAB. Additionally, I'm familiar with using HTML, CSS, jquery, javascript and database management tools such as mySQL on windows and Unix/Linux. Additional knowledge include nodeJS, ExpressJS, webpack, typescript, and the Flask web framework.Ive also taken a number of math courses at SUNY New Paltz that have given me more tools and knowledge to create more numerically based projects. Ive taken Numerical analysis, linear algebra, ordinary differential equations, and mathematical models for systems sustainability.One thing that makes me stand out are my communication skills gained while working at NYPIRG. The New York Public Interest group runs paid canvass campaigns during the summer to raise awareness to important environmental and government issues.My thoughts on technology in general are that because of how powerful and prevalent the internet has become in everyday life lacking technology access can severely hurt the odds of finding a good job or finding a better one. I started volunteering for the Ithaca reUse Center in High School. This non-profit takes in donated technology and refurbishes it for a smaller cost than the majority of PCs. This can be a blessing for a family or individual without one. Through recycling and refurbishing computers hands-on I learned about the potential costs technology can have on the planet if not handled correctly. My experience there gave me a broad knowledge of Computer repair and the life cycle of technology. I've come to Love my time at New Paltz because many of the Professors have deep industry experience and knowledge that I can benefit greatly from. I excel in my classes because of my hard work and my determination to succeed in the technology field.
