Currently, Jack is active as an energy/environment policy consultant to the Colorado State Senate Majority.Jack served as an internationally respected executive strategist and lobbyist for a Fortune 10 company for 20+ years. He is well known as a public policy expert on energy policy and investment, innovative green initiatives, renewable fuels and alternative energy. Mr. Coffey previously directed and implemented corporate strategy on behalf of Chevron in California. He successfully negotiated political, diplomatic and regulatory issues for numerous state, national and international energy projects worth hundreds of millions of dollars, directly advising Chevron’s Chairman of the Board, Vice Chairman and other senior managers while enhancing Chevron’s competitive position in the marketplace and overall shareholder return.An expert on winning statewide political initiative battles in California, he helped manage numerous initiative campaigns, including chairing the steering committee of a successful $90 million campaign to defeat a 2006 anti-business initiative in California, Proposition 87. In that campaign, he directed strategy, message and tactics, including prestigious coalition of businesses and trade organizations. If Prop 87 had passed it would have cost businesses and consumers in California well over $500 million per year.
