Tutored several University level students to help prepare them for two final year modular exams. Both students achieved high First Class grades on both of the modules. This was a thoroughly rewarding and fulfilling experience, helping students to reach their full potential and achieve confidence during unprecedented times. I operated with a high level of organisation and attention to detail, when planning bespoke lessons and keeping track of progress over time. Developing excellent communication skills in order to tailor my approach to the individuals needs based on their learning capabilities and levels of motivation. Acted as a role model, providing advice and support about non academic issues during the stressful times of exam season.

Attended guest speakers lectures from sponsors of the event including: Bain & Co, Alpha FMC, EY, Elixirr, Accenture and Capital One.This virtual experience gave me an insight into how to plan, develop and integrate a Consultancy project for a client in a declining industry in order to allow them to gain a competitive advantage. Involving many different elements of consultancy including: Strategy, Management, Operations, IT and Change Management. Having previously worked within the industry I was able to draw on previous knowledge and experience to produce an industry standard piece of work whilst also learning about new aspects of consultancy that I had not previously been exposed to.

Attended guest speakers lectures from sponsors of the event including: EY, PWC, BDO, HSBC and Lloyds. This virtual experience gave me an insight into typical tasks of a trainee at EY. I was tasked with creating a management report about a potential new client for EY, providing a synopsis of the client, background into their industry and the services EY could provide the client.

Alongside my dissertation I completed an internship with Aurora. My dissertation title was "Marketing's Effect on Company Performance: A Study Into the Management Consultancy Industry". I utilised the knowledge gained during this to perform a self led accountancy based project within Aurora. Analysing both sides of their business - both the small firm/start up advisory business and Banking and Fintech business - using management accounting ratios in order to deduce how well they performed against each other and which areas they could improve their business in order to make it more successful. I presented my findings to the managing partners.

This platform has been excellent and has taught me valuable skills in planning and project management. The experience included: how to communicate and work effectively within the workplace, project and stakeholder management, decision-making, data analysis and interpretation, as well as user experience and process design.

Aurora is a specialist management consulting company whose business provides consulting expertise to Banking & Technology firms and new & growing businesses. Working at Aurora has given me great exposure to different types of businesses. Mainly working within the small and growing business side, in which I was responsible for production of pitch decks and business plans for clients enabling me to enhance my research skills and competitive analysis to define business strategies. One of my main projects was being tasked with conducting an industry analysis of clients competitors, producing a Reg Tech Ecosystem Taxonomy which is still heavily used today within the company. This involved finding crucial information on each company such as key contacts, firm size, who they currently work with, value of potential business and different projects that could be worked on with them.

Experienced a wide variety of roles with the main focus on data input and bookkeeping. I was able to utilise the knowledge and skills from the accounting side of my degree. In addition, I worked on the customer relations team, this role allowed me to strive to improve relations and resolve any queries.

This programme was at UCL and designed to give an understanding of what is involved in the banking profession and the skills required to be successful.

Worked with the Evaluated Bond & Loan Pricing Teams and Software Development Team. This taught me the fundamentals of working with the data needed to value illiquid instruments in changing market conditions, requiring a deep understanding of maths and economics.

IHS Markit is a leading global provider of information and services. Working on various assignments with finance, legal, sales, software, indices and ETP teams gave me a good understanding of the operational aspects of the company and corporate life. Working with the software team made me draw on my experience of problem solving through testing the software for programming bugs (or 'features') in Java and SQL.
