Starting as an industrial placement between my 2nd and 3rd years of university, I got exposure to many of the functional groups in the Type-26 project, the job focused on automation of mundane tasks that people in the team would waste time doing and also developing my soft skills with many technical or non-technical presentations.Whilst finishing the degree I worked at BAE Systems part-time working on the Saudi project and returned to work for a year full-time after I graduated. During this time at BAE Systems, I had exposure to legacy systems/ hardware, including the OpenVMS operating system.
