As part of an effort to deepen my understanding of software development teams and process, especially their impact on the business, I am now regularly acting as Product Manager on projects.

Work alongside client teams to empower them to build software using modern development practices such as: Extreme Programming (includes full-time Pairing and Test Driven Development); User Centered Design (learning directly from users in order to build products that solve real problems as intuitively as possible); and Lean Software Development (prioritize the simplest thing that provides the most business value, using both qualitative and quantitative data to plan and reflect on the value added)We do our best to help organisations succeed with their software goals. Helping them identify how they can best take advantage of modern technologies and practices within their organisation to build software in a sustainable and predictable pace.

Supported the University of Colorado by teaching recitations, helping students through office hours, and holding one-on-one interview grading sessions. I had the opportunity to teach two lectures while the professor I was supporting was on holiday. I lectured on the introduction to C++ Programming to over 400 students in a grand lecture hall.Additionally, I collaborated with other TA's to plan student lab assignments and construct homework grading scripts to automate the process of assigning grades to student-submitted code.

Work with my pair partner to architect and implement code that provides client value and is both easily readable and extendable (and not smelly!). An abundance of communication with QAs and HTAs (aka designers) in order to deliver desired and fully effective user focused features. Work within a team to design solutions to overarching software problems.

When not doing front desk duties, I spent my time managing the active directory domain server and all of the client computers. Setup and maintenance of a 24 camera security system. General maintenance of broken equipment including minor electrical wiring and plumbing. Website maintenance. General groundskeeper duties.Primarily I manned the front desk which included: scheduling appointments for individuals and groups, in person and on the phone; cashing out clients; balancing money and handling client concerns.
