I am a Tax Senior Associate with Ernst & Young's Financial Services firm based in Dublin, Ireland. I am also an alumni of the UCD Quinn School of Business, graduating from a Bachelors of Commerce in May 2020. I joined EY's graduate intake in September 2020 and have since passed all of my required examinations with Chartered Accountants Ireland on the first attempt. I will be a fully qualified member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland from April 2024. I have also passed my Part Two exams with the Irish Tax Institute and hope to be a fully qualified Charted Tax Advisor with the Institute in May 2024. I have decided to specialise within the Wealth & Asset Management (WAM) division of the FS Tax department in EY and have a particular interest in the taxation of funds, asset managers and international fund administrators. I have gained a broad knowledge across the FS Tax department, having worked on numerous Banking, Insurance and Aviation Leasing clients in my training contract. I am particularly interested in the technical advice side of the role and enjoy researching and applying complex taxation legislation to specific circumstances.Before I went down the tax advice route, I was hugely interested in entrepreneurship and product design. I previously set up my own business at 16 while still in school, gaining huge experience and winning some massive achievements along the way. For just over 6 years, I was a co-founder and chief executive of Greener Globe, an environmentally innovative business. We designed and sold energy efficiency products such as the Aquacica LED traffic light shower head. We have won a number of awards throughout the years, most notably the 2014 SAGE World Cup for social entrepreneurship in Moscow, Russia. I still have the same love and interest in entrepreneurship as I did in my younger years and have incorporated this flair into my work whenever given the opportunity.In my spare time, I play and watch a lot of sports. I am frequently found on the golf course with friends and family, as well as lining out for the Tullamore senior hurling team. I also enjoy the weekly 5-a-side soccer games.
