(Seasonal Worker) Provided ground support and safety oversight during electrical power restoration post hurricanes and other types of storm power outages. I have been on other power distribution projects such as the rebuilding of 22 miles of three phase distribution power lines. This work included the installation and removal of 311 power poles, upgrading to new #4 conductor wire. New equipment was in stalled such as transformers, breakers, re-closer regulators, airbrake switches.

Managed the construction of a Combined Heat & Power Unit (CHP) in Steamboat Rock, IA. The unit was operated by Titan 130 turbine. The unit would produce 15 megawatts of electricity and 140,000lbs of steam. It had a TIC of 25 million. Duties included budget, scheduling, forecasting and contractor management. Developed budget for a steam turbine project in Peoria, IL. This unit will produce 11 megawatts when completed. Additional duties included contractor selection, scheduling, estimating, and forecasting. Helped start a new division of the company in the Southern part of the United States. Duties include getting contractor licenses in certain states, permits in certain counties, contractor selection, scheduling, estimating, and developing material take offs.

Was asked to come in help as the Company Representative on the PDMS Treated (TS7xx) De-bottleneck Project. This is being done by converting two of the existing reactors to a continuous production process. The purpose to increase the PDMS treated silica capability at the Tuscola, IL facility. The process is a hydrophobic fumed silica that is obtained by surface treating a hydrophilic silica base particle with an appropriate silicone oil (PDMS). The objective of the project is to increase capacity by 1520MT. Cabot Corporation Representative Tuscola, IL ($5 Million TIC)Was asked to come in help finish the Small Molecule Color Line #3 This inkjet colorant product line produces aqueous pigment dispersions. Equipment installed MCC, TCU, Piping, Reactor, SS Tanks, and Instrument Air. Work included installation of new mezzanine, safety showers, sprinkler system upgrade and various types of pumps. Served as a Field Utility Safety Profession for power distribution crews. These crews performed new installation, storm repairs, and line rebuilds. These crews performed work on low voltage and high voltage lines. These lines would include energized and de-energized task. Task work include work on single and three phase lines. Equipment varied on these lines such as installing, or repair transformers, breakers, re-closer regulators, airbrake switches, lightning arresters, capacitors, isolators, fuses and cutouts, various sizes of conductor wire. My duties included coaching, mentoring, training to promote safe work practices.

Was brought into a project that was extremely over budget and months behind schedule. Major procurement of items and ISO's had had not been issued. So, I had to coordinate the engineering team and the construction team. I took the lead on procurement. I oversaw budgets, oversaw schedules, and oversaw safety of the project, turnover packages, and startup and commissioning activities. I had a direct staff of 12 and indirect staff of 6. There were 5 different contractors used on this project. This development included receiving gas, water and oil from approximately 35 additional wells and the installation of a central tank battery (“CTB”). The CTB; included new separators, heater treaters, tanks, air compressors, LACTs, pumps, flare and associated instrumentation and electrical facilities. The CTB was designed to process approximately 35,000 barrels of liquid per day (BLPD) for Sand Dunes Project Central Tank Battery for OXY Loving, NM ($14 million TIC)

Managed sub-contractor’s activities in constructing the C-Train Unit which is a High Viscosity Poly Alpha Olefins Unit (PAO). Developed and administered the Project HSE Program, wrote construction procedures, oversaw critical lift plans, contractor and vendor selection, setting up contracts, issuing site instructions to contractors, coordinate equipment deliveries and field superintendent duties. I had a direct staff of 6 and there were 11 different contractors used on this project for INEOS Oligomers C – Train

Managed sub-contractor’s activities on selective demolition, installation of new support structure, equipment, and tank installation complete with piping in the heart of an Operating Alumina Refinery. Responsibilities included issuing site instructions to contractors, coordinate with engineering and respond to RFIs, review and approve Time Sheets, material, and equipment requisitions. Delegated responsibility of Construction Manager when CM was off site. I worked as a liaison between engineering and the client on change orders and RQF’sDuring FEL III, developing construction and demolition work packs for multiple onshore and offshore projects. Participate and on various topics lead constructability initiatives. Coordinated various Construction and HSE activities for Shell Projects in Texas, Louisiana, and offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. These would include onshore pipelines, tank batteries (API 450 to 650), and offshore facilities including living quarters, MCC, communications tower, helicopter pad, and refueling station. There were 4 onsite staff that managed the general contractor and their sub-contractors.Managed sub-contractors in the construction Pipelines, compressor station and central processing facility in South Texas. Acting as Owners representatives with subcontractors and suppliers. The process stations either had maned and un-maned controls rooms. Some locations included a shop and or warehouses. Roads and right ways had to be built for this development.I was sent in by corporate to managed and supervise sub-contractors planned outages coal burning power plants. These projects had multiple phases. Projects included union and non-union craft. This project had multiple phases.Supervised contractors and sub-contractors in vessel modifications for the BP Horizon incident. Supervised subcontractor’s activities for a safe execution of the project. Duties were the single point of contact for Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS).
