I am currently working as a receptionist at UCL Innovation and Enterprise. I meet and greet visitors in reception and escort them to the correct meeting room. I create and maintain databases on all Start-up companies operating within our building and organise meetings and catering when it has arrived. I run health and safety tours for new members and organise our Event Space for special events or departmental meetings.

I supported a senior professor who has a hearing disability. I attended meetings, workshops, tutorials, lectures and seminars with him to ensure there was clear communication between him and the students. I relayed information to the professor by email or speech (he lip reads). As part of my course administrator role I answered students’ emails, opened and closed online tests and uploaded each recorded lecture to the student server. I provided admin support for the lecturers whenever they requested it.

I worked as a receptionist/office assistant in a start-up company for young businesses. My duties included welcoming visitors and signing them in. I organised meetings including booking rooms and arranging refreshments. I also maintained the staff notice boards ensured the information and notices were kept up to date. I was also responsible for ensuring the reception area was kept clean and tidy and the kitchens were well stocked.
