In a conversation with one of his favoriteprofessors, David mentioned the interview. When David finished his degree, he went to work for that Kentucky firm. About a year later, during a reviewof his performance, his employer asked David if "he knew why he got the job?" David had no answer. His boss handed him a letter from David's professor at ACU, outlining why David should be hired. David had not requested the endorsement or knew it was ever sent. The professor had located the company, the interviewer's name, address and sent the letter. Needless to say, David was speechless when his bosstold him he had fulfilled every one of the accoladespromised by the professor. How often does that happen?I'm David's father and that story alone more than repaid the cost of a four year education!
